Richard "Rick" Kruger's Obituary
Richard “Rick” Earl Kruger, 52, of Mooresville, died in his home on August 5, 2020. He was born on November 28, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rick was a popular boat mechanic in the Lake Norman Area, who never met a stranger. He started working at the age of 12 in the summer months pumping gas and mowing grass at a local marina and campground. His hobbies were fishing and boating. He loved to ride jet skis with his daughter and fishing, golfing, and hunting with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Farrell Kruger, mother Etta Brasington Hobbs, and step-father John William Hobbs.
He is survived by the apple of his eye, daughter Lanah Brooke Kruger of Mooresville; ex-wife Beverly Kruger of Mooresville; step-mother Rita Kruger of Little River, SC; brother Joe Kruger and fiancé Clarissa Whitney of Little River, SC; sister Kris Huffstetler and husband Bobby of Gastonia; niece Hannah Kruger; and nephew Davis Huffstetler.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8, at 1pm. A funeral service will follow at 2pm.
