Richard McNaughton's Obituary
Richard McNaughton, 81, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on February 22, 2022 from natural causes.
Richard was born on August 3, 1940 to Sarah and James McNaughton in Steelton, PA. After graduating from Steelton High School he enlisted in the United States Army. Following his service, he moved to Roanoke, Virginia, then northern Virginia, where he worked at US Airways. It was during this time that he met his lifelong love, Marjorie Streussnig.
In 1975, Richard and Marjorie married, and over the course of their time together lived in Woodbridge, Virginia, Dallas, Texas, Montclair, Virginia, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After retiring in 2003, the couple moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. Richard was a member of Central Church of God; he enjoyed playing golf, cooking and baking, and spending time with friends and family – particularly his three grandchildren, Avery, Ian, and Sydney.
Richard was predeceased by his loving wife, Marjorie. He is survived by his sons Brian and Adam.
