Richard Rudisill Jr's Obituary
Richard C. Rudisill, Jr., 72, of Davidson died April 14, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1954 in Greenville, SC to the late Richard and Frances Rudisill. Rick graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree. He had a successful career traveling internationally and working in textiles at Newco Fiber in Charlotte where he was V.P. of the company. Rick devoted a lot of time volunteering for the Davidson community. He spent years serving as a Sunday School teacher at Davidson U.M.C. where he found great joy in teaching the Scripture to youth members. He continued to volunteer at the church throughout his life. Rick served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Town of Davidson for 42 years. He also found joy in serving Davidson College’s Safe Ride program.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pamela Thompson Rudisill; daughter, Elizabeth Rudisill Hayes (husband Lee) of Mooresville; grandchildren, Emma, Ava and Olivia; brothers, Kevin and Kyle.
Memorials may be made to Davidson U.M.C.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 17 at Davidson U.M.C. at 2:30 PM. Visitation will be 2-2:30 prior. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Mooresville.
