Richard Wallace's Obituary
Richard Alexander Wallace, 67, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on January 11, 1948 in Charlotte, NC and was the son of the late Young and Ruby Padgett Wallace. He was retired from the International Union of Elevator Constructors where he was a service technician and board member. He volunteered as a fireman for the Mallard Creek Volunteer Fire Department; He served as an intern with the Brunswick Stew of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church annual BBQ from 1974 to 1984 and was head of the department till 2014. He also served as a Deacon and Elder at the church.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Black Wallace; son, Rusty Wallace and wife Connie of Charlotte; daughter, Dee Dee Wallace Larkin and husband Craig of Lake Wylie; four grandchildren, Braden and Ruby Wallace, Lily and Luke Larkin.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Shawn Barkley and Rev. Kenneth Craig officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in church sanctuary.
