Ridgely Vane,'s Obituary
Ridgely W. Vane, III "Rick", 62, of Huntersville, NC passed away May 28, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center after a long illness. He was born on January 13, 1951 in Munich, Germany. He served in the US Army for 10 years and then worked for Beck Mercedes and as a TSA Agent at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Monica Vane; two sons, Jamie Vane and wife Christi of Catawba, NC, and Justin Vane of Wilmington, NC; as well as a granddaughter, Noelle Vane.
Rick was a passionate animal lover and he and Monica spent many years rescuing cats and dogs. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte or your local humane society.
A memorial service honoring Rick will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 8th at Assurance United Methodist Church (9700 Mt. Holly Huntersville Rd., Huntersville, NC) with Rev. Chris Westmoreland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
