Robert Daniel “Dan” Ford, 78, of Huntersville, NC, died Friday, October 3, 2014, at his residence. He was born March 26, 1936, and was the son of the late Ira Campbell and Isabel Bowen Ford. Dan was raised in Belmont, NC, and grad Read Obituary
I worked with Dan two years at Holman and Moody on the GT40 and Honker projects. He was truly a great racer and a tremendous builder. Dan had the ability to remain calm in an often hectic atmosphere and used his quiet sense of humor to help keep us all sane during the crunch times. I admired and respected him and appreciate all the help he gave me. My sincere condolences to all of his family.
Dan ,was a great guy to work with, and a lot of fun to be around. I will alway's remember him. My thought's and prayer's go out to Bette and the family.
When I started Dan was the man a true super star. His name comes up a lot. I will miss him. Rusty
RIP "footsy". what a great guy, how else can you sum it up? really neat to see how a gentle man can influence so many in this thing called life. I'm thankful for the time we worked together many years ago.

I had the privilege of calling Dan a friend, we worked together and spent time hunting one of Dan's favorite things to do.
Dan was a quite and intellectual man who taught me many things on life and work.
The world is a poorer place without him, and I am a better person for knowing him.
Dan you will be missed.
Genuinely the nicest person you would ever want to be around. He was the "rock" on every race team he was a part of. Great mechanic and even greater man. God rest his soul and bless the family during their loss.

I had the privilege to work with Dan at HMS, and be called his friend. He was the same person, every time you saw him. Nothing fake. A genuine, well respected, friendly, good hearted, humorous, humble man. Bette, Michael, Julie you can certainly be proud of your husband and father. We will miss him also.
