I remember the trips I was able to take to the Howard's family lake house when I lived in Charlotte. Mr. Howard would pull us skiing or hydrosliding behind their boat. Another memory I have is going to a Lafayette football game when they came down to play at Davidson, and the awesome hoagies Mrs. Howard made for the trip! Mr. Howard was a larger than life character with booming voice. I will always remember my times with Mr. Howard and the Howard family. My prayers go out to Mrs. Howard, Chuck, Robby, Nancy, Sue, and the rest of the family. RIP Sir and God bless!

By the grace of God, Tuesday, the day of Bob's passing, I felt
I needed to reach out to him by phone. It had been longer than usual since we had last talked, over two weeks, longer than our usual frequency.
Gail and I were in our car and Bob answered the phone after a couple of rings. We had a wonderful conversation. Bob was his usual upbeat presence. We spoke of old friends and old times. And cheered each other up regarding challenges of being in our late eighties. But glad to be alive yet knowing we were destined to eventually be going to an unimaginable place of peace and beauty.
He spoke about how blessed he was to have such a loving and supportive family. He was, of course, sad about Margie's condition. We
ended the call promising to continue our frequent outreach to each other.
We'll be together sometime soon brother. I treasure our friendship.
I will miss you terribly.

I am writing to express my deepest condolences to the Howard family. Your father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, uncle was an exceptional man and I mourn his loss with you.This is a sad occasion but I have only happy memories of “Uncle Bob” (I am married to Bob Howard-the San Francisco cousin. Bill Howard’s son).
I clearly remember first meeting Uncle Bob at Motz’s house in Berwyn, PA in the late 1980s.
Uncle Bob had just arrived and didn’t know I was in the house. He made a bee line for the fridge at the bottom of the basement stairs.
It was the beer fridge, evidently.
I introduced myself when he came back upstairs. He gave me a big smile, a warm hello AND the cold can of beer in his hand. His kindness and hospitality never wavered.
It has been a pleasure to know him. His love and pride for his family knew no bounds.
There will be many wonderful times to remember. I hope they will sustain you at this difficult time.

I knew him as Mr. Howard. He was one of my father's best friends, and many of my earliest memories are of them both on a golf course or on the beach at Pawley's Island. He was one of one, and I feel very lucky to have known him. My condolences to all the Howard clan from Andrew, Kelly, Hayden, Xander and Max.

Margie and Family
We have lost a good friend ( and husband )and a CLASS Gentleman)
In high school, Bob would always tell me NOT TO FUMBLE
As men ( boys ) we can't do 2 thinks at once
So it was to hold onto the ball or watch the cheerleaders
I have ALWAYS had a problem in making up my mind
I also remember the TOGA PARTY at Laffayette Collage
( I was never good at spelling )
We had a line dancing around the place to I think HOT HOT HOT
Bob always was very up beat with his caring of Margie and a fine Example of a husband
From the Class of 1957,Undefeated Football Team of 1956 and The Haddonfield Red Devils YMCA Group,we all want to say good bye for now BUT we will see you up in Heaven
