Rod always had and will always have a large part of my heart. I remember Rod as being goofy, and whenever we were out eating he always had me laughing so hard, had a very unique sense of humor, and he seemed to enjoy his sense of humor too...I remember him saying things like " yay yoh yay yoh" and " you're darn tootn"...Rod had a unique and special gift of giving gifts, we have a pillow at home with a picture of Abby and Journey made into a pillow case...he thought of gifts that just melt your heart. He had a heart and good intentions. I will always remember our trip to see Yanni at the Foxx theatre in Georgia, he knew I loved Yanni and he made it happen. He was the only one other than my mother who understood my love for Yanni. He would send me random messages when I needed it the most like " you're doing a great job with the girls, very strong person". It meant the world. Many times he would do this, when I don't even get that from other friends. I talked to Rod many times about Jesus Christ, he BELIEVED in Jesus as God's son, that he is our Savior, we are sinners in need of him to get to heaven and our Father. That he died for all our sins, rose again, seated at the right hand of our Father. I hope this gives y'all comfort, it does me, I believe Rod is in heaven, perfectly healthy, no addictions, with a perfect mind. No longer suffering, addiction is a disease, as is diabetes, cancer. Addicts are suffering and need Jesus, he accepted the Lord, we spoke many times. He is in a beautiful place.
