I grew up with RC in Whitman, WV. We used to wait for the school bus close to their home. I am sorry for your loss. He was a nice guy growing up and from what I read he never changed. I loved his mother, Hazel, and stepdad, Lloyd. We went to church together for many years.
My heart hurts for all of you, as I think of the loss you have had. But, I know that R.C. and Chuck have already had quite a few tee times!

Jean and I are very sorry to learn of RC’s passing.
I first met RC at Tinker AFB about June of 1977 when 552nd AWACS first formed. A year later we
transferred to Keflavik Iceland. RC and I worked the same shift almost all that time in Iceland.
He was always a happy soul and knew how to brighten any day, even when we had to work in -50
degrees F, recovering aircraft at midnight. One night, going home from work, we got stuck in a blizzard,
abandoned our vehicle and had to literally crawl to my house for the night. We partied through it.
On return to the US, we were going to Tucson, AZ and the engine of one of our vehicles blew out in
Tulsa, OK, about 100 miles from OK City. My family and I greatly appreciated Debbie and RC’s
hospitality. They put us up for almost ten days while waiting for a replacement engine.
We will always cherish the good times and bad, we all lived through. Years come and go and seems like
yesterday, we saw you last time, in Southport, NC, but turns out it was nearly ten years ago. It’s hard to
lose friends of so many years, but we’ll never forget them.
Our condolences to you and family. Please don’t hesitate to call on us for anything we can do to help you through these rough times.
Thinking and Praying for you Deborah and Family in your time of sorrow, R.C. will be sadly missed by all of us. We all enjoyed RC when he visited us (Claude and Hazel and us girls). We will always remember RC as a fun loving and family man when he visited. I will never forget RC chasing me as a little girl at Earling .

Words cannot describe the feeling in a person's heart when they are told of a dear relative passing. I did not get to see much of R.C. except at Grandmaw's when they had dinner for all.
It seems that we never get the things done that maybe we should have but there WILL BE A GREAT REUNION SOME DAY!!
The memories will live forever in the heart's of the loved ones that are grieving.

Now the stars shine a little brighter. I will miss watching him tell stories to Charles III. Charles always had to be by Uncle Rc when he visited. He used to tell me all about his grandchildren with the biggest smile on his face. He will be missed so much.
Hurts my heart..Uncle RC was a sweet and kind soul..I hate that I didn't get to visit more with him..So sorry for this loss...niece, daughter of brother Charles Henry Esque Sr.
Breaks my heart. I loved him as much as a sister could. Such a wonderful person. So generous and kind.
He loved life and his family. If you got to know him you can count yourself Blessed.
