Ronald Robinson's Obituary
Ronald Allen Robinson, 80, of Charlotte died July 21, 2025. He was born on June 10, 1945 in Mecklenburg County to the late Allen "Bud" Robinson and Margie Nixon Robinson.
Ron graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1963 as a baseball standout. He was signed by the Cincinnati Reds and played pro baseball for 7 years. He owned and operated his own billboard business for many years. His final field of employment was as a Sales Representative for Visual Impressions Printing. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Carolina Golf Club for almost 50 years. He was very proud of his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife Anna Kelly Robinson; sons, Brett Lee Robinson, Brian Allen "Bo" Robinson and wife Amanda; daughter, Lynne “Sissy” Robinson and husband Jeff; four grandsons, Max, Jack, Brody and Davis; brother, Don and wife Tina.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove UMC at PO Box 681900, Charlotte, NC 28216 or the Levine and Dickson Hospice House 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
A graveside service will be held at 10:15 AM Saturday, July 26 at Pleasant Grove U.M.C. Cemetery. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the Pleasant Grove U.M.C. Family Life Center. Visitation will follow the funeral service.
