Rosalind Bao-Yuan Chu's Obituary
Rosalind Bao-Yuan Chu passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Thursday, March 21, 2019, following a brief hospitalization in January and two months of rehab in a local facility.  She was 82 years old.
Born in Shanghai, China, she immigrated to the U.S., with her family in her preteen years.  They settled in Forest Hills in the borough of Queens in New York City.  After middle school and Forest Hills High School, she attended Western College in Oxford, Ohio where she majored in math.  (Western College is now known as Western Campus of Miami University in Oxford.)
She worked as an accountant for a time in New York City after which she moved to California.  Returning to New York City, after some years, she worked for the school system there as a math teacher.  In the early 2000s, she moved to North Carolina to live with family here.
She was predeceased by her six siblings.  She leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews and 29 grands.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 6th, at Providence Presbyterian Church, 246 Branchview Drive N.E., Concord, NC.
