Rose Marie Poppler's Obituary
Mrs. Rose Marie Poppler of Stanley passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Rose Marie was a member of Lake Norman Lutheran Church, the Women’s Bible Study Group, and served on the Altar Guild. She was a retired registered dietitian and remained involved in the community. Rose Marie was a member and served as president of Probus and was a member of the East Lincoln Republican Women. She was an active participant in the Denver tree lighting ceremony and Christmas parade. Rose Marie enjoyed cooking, she was the #1 Carolina Panthers and Clemson Tigers fan, and most of all she loved being Grammy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Minnie Haack.
Mrs. Poppler is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard “Dick” Poppler, daughter, Sonja Rock and husband, Tim of Charlotte, son, Barrett Poppler and wife, Jennifer of Harrisburg, siblings; Esther Johns, Evelyn Haack, Leland Haack, Doris Haack, and grandchildren; Amanda, Kennedy, Matthew, Griffin, and Campbell.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Lake Norman Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Marquardt and Rev. D. Paul Nelson officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
