Rose Swiatecki's Obituary
Rose Swiatecki, 73, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021. Rose was born on January 2, 1948 in Metter, Georgia and moved to New Jersey with her family at a young age before retiring to North Carolina in 2014. She was the daughter of the late Mr. CR Davis. Rose attended Branchburg Stony Brook School and graduated from Somerville High School. She later went on to work as an administrative assistant at multiple companies within New Jersey.
Rose was a former member of the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company, Three Bridges, New Jersey and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Huntersville, North Carolina. Prior to her illness, Rose enjoyed playing golf with her husband Bob, jigsaw puzzles, BINGO, and tending to her flowers. One of her most favorite things to do was cross stitch, and surely everyone in the family has one of her highly coveted cross stitch pieces somewhere in their home. Without fail, Rose created new Christmas villages underneath the Christmas tree every year for all to envy and she will be forever remembered for her famous Christmas parties.
Rose is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bob Swiatecki; brother Charlie Davis and wife Mary Alyce of Hillsborough, New Jersey; sister Jennifer “Ann” Bauer and husband Bill of Branchburg, New Jersey; and mother, Mildred (nee Sapp) Davis of Branchburg, New Jersey. She will be missed dearly by her son Paul Kessock of Ocala, Florida, son David Kessock and wife Joy of Reading, Pennsylvania; son Michael Kessock and wife Stephanie of Ackworth, Georgia; daughter Amy Swiatecki-McCabe of Killeen, Texas; nephew Chris Miller and wife Eilene of Middlesex, New Jersey; and nephew CJ Davis and wife Michelle of Neshanic Station, New Jersey. She will be most missed by her grandchildren Brianna, Derek, Jacob, Brycen, and Samuel.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, July 26, 2021 at James Funeral Home of Huntersville, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. There will be an additional service held in New Jersey at a later date; more information to follow.
