So sorry to hear about the passing of ROEY. They lived 2 doors down from us in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. What a wonderful caring helpful neighbor and friend. Roe was such a help to me when I had my children. Roey LOVED my daughter Catrina like only a mother could! She helped me pick out GIRL furniture and even wallpapered the bedroom. She helped with Dominick, Dennis, and Demetri too. When I would get overwhelmed, she would jump right in and take a baby or two to give me a break. My heart is full of wonderful memories, and sadness for Jim, Chris, Steven, Poppy and Mildred. I will always remember our fun times!
Roe and I dated in high school and her girlfriend Angela dated my friend Bob. It was the first relationship for both of us. Even after we stopped dating, she was always there for you. I remember her lending me her 35mm camera when I went to see Springsteen. How ironic that we both would end up in the same town in NC, literally not ten minutes from each other. I wish I had a chance to visit. My wife had surgery at Novant on the 14th; Roe was hospitalized there. I am truly shocked and saddened. Look after us up there my friend.
Roe was a dear friend. She was my neighbor on Delhi Street. So many great memories. RIP my friend. My condolences to Jim and her two boys. Prayers for the family.
My first friend at St. Maria Goretti HS, I remember that day as if it was yesterday. She came up to me on 11st street and asked me what elementary school I attended before Goretti. I told her I was from SouthWest Philly, St. Barnabas parish, and didn't know anyone here, she said, "well, you know me now". I was thrilled when I found out we had the same lunch, 6th period, and sat next to each other. She knew James Darren and took me and some other friends to see him live at Palumbo's. We double for our senior prom and I was in her wedding. Rest in peace my friend...you will be so missed! -Jacqui Rinaldi Katchur
What can I say? My heart is broken. I am so sad that my childhood friend, my sister, is no longer with us. We may not have lived near each other anymore but our connection was still strong. Thank you for always being there for me especially when I went thru my separation and divorce. You were my rock, always listening, helping me get thru my sadness. No one can take away my sadness that you are gone. I will always love you.
