Russell Dean David's Obituary
Russell Dean David, 87, of Huntersville, NC, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.
Russell was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on November 23, 1929. His family moved frequently and finally settled in Yakima, WA. He graduated from high school there and from the University of Washington with a Degree in Civil Engineering. Russell was a very proficient watercolor artist, obtaining several honors for his paintings. He was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Hurst, TX. Russell enjoyed painting, traveling, and being with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Evelyn David; his brother, Billy David; his sisters, Lorraine Wilson and Betty Jean Fisk; and daughter-in-law, Sandra David.
Russell is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna David; his three sons, Richard David of Gilbert, AZ, Raymond David (Linda Lee) of Sandy, UT, and Robin David of Mesa, AZ; step-son, Robert Gallant (Kelly) of Cornelius, NC; step-grandson, Levi Gallant of Cornelius, NC; Melissa Hoke (Vincent Alcarese) of San Tan Valle, AZ, Richard Hoke of Denver, CO; and step-great grandchildren Airiana and Reed of Denver, CO.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday October 16 at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC
