Ruth Tenaglia's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Ruth Tenaglia of Davidson NC, on May 29,2023.
Ruth was born in Passaic NJ, the daughter of Goldie and Lester Deissinger. She lived in various parts of the Northeast and settled in Lake Norman in 1996. She loved lake life, the beautiful sunsets and her dear friends and neighbors.
Ruth was a kind, loving, resilient, generous woman who lived life to the fullest. She overcame every obstacle with grit, class, goodness and grace. She brought joy and humor to the many social activities she enjoyed: bridge, mahjong, travel, dancing, music, the arts and a dry martini. A fierce and fun competitor, she played to win against opponents young and old.
Ruth was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother whose playful energy and Zest for Life will be remembered and missed. She selflessly cared for her parents and sister, and then nurtured and supported her growing family, putting their needs before her own.
Ruth is survived by her children, Judith and Bruce Campbell, Karen and Edward Wiehl and Ken and Ikuko Tenaglia; her grandchildren, Alex Campbell, Chris and Alli Campbell, Adam and Tiffany Wiehl, Jessie and Steve MItsak and Jillian and Patrick Hennessy; and the great grandchildren that she cherished Jacob and James Wiehl, Lincoln, Potter and Hayes Mitsak and Grant, Landon and Nolan Hennessy.
May her memory inspire us to forego bitterness or regret and instead to be kind, forgiving, strong and loving always and to cherish our loved ones and life itself.
Be the Love. Be the Light.
