Sam Peter's Obituary
Sam John Peter, 80, of Mooresville, NC passed away on November 30, 2016 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.
He was born on October 31, 1936 in Buffalo, NY and was the son of the late John and Isabell Nassief Peter. Sam worked at Roadway Express for 26 years in Buffalo, New York. He enjoyed being on his boat, Buffalo Bills Football, working in the garage and being with his family; especially his grandkids. He loved being “Samtastic”.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Bruso Peter; seven children, Kevin Peter of Mooresville, Christopher Peter (Kathleen) of Buffalo, NY, Anne Beauregard (Colin) of Charlotte, John Peter (Patty) of Mooresville, William Peter (Jennifer) of Buffalo, NY, Brian Peter (Sarah) of Charlotte, and Mary Beth Peter, also of Charlotte; two brothers, Norm Peter (Betty) of Stanley, NC, and Rev. David Peter of Buffalo, NY; two sisters, Carol Ann Peter-Tabone (Michael) of Buffalo, NY, and Lori Sebian (Bruce), also of Buffalo, NY; two sisters-in-law, Verna Peter and Carol Peter; 20 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thonus and John Peter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 2PM, at St. Therese Catholic Church of Mooresville. Burial will be private.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, December 2, 2016, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at James Funeral Home in Huntersville.
