Sara Ernsberger's Obituary
Sara Louise Ernsberger, September 29, 1939 – Charlotte, NC. Sara left this world today, March 15, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I can be most certain that her lifelong soulmate and husband of 60 years, Bob, and her son David were next in line to welcome her at her coming-home celebration.
Sara was the daughter of Oscar and Thelma Jenkins. Survivors include her daughter Robin and son Robert. Sara was blessed with 5 incredible grandchildren, Kristine, Bobby, Kimberly, Caleb, and Cory. Sara was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Sammy, Ava Grace, Paisley and Turner. Another great grandchild is expected within weeks as well from her granddaughter Kimberly. Sara was also preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Thelma Jenkins, husband Bob, son David, and sister Betty.
Sara enjoyed crafts, cooking, entertaining, good friends, and attending church with her late husband Bob. The two were inseparable and now they will share eternity together.
My mom, as well as tens of thousands of other families across this nation, had to endure the rigors and isolation venues associated with the Covid virus this past year. Major kudos to my mom for being and staying incredibly strong through this time when family could not be there by her side every day. God’s grace was evident throughout this time as all of us saw His strength and love permeate her everyday life. From family members and friends that visited her through countless window visits, to the healthcare heroes who managed her daily care, we are forever grateful that all of you became part of her family and ours.
We miss you mom and can’t wait to see you again! :)
A graveside will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 21 at Forest Lawn West with Rev. Adam Mumpower officiating.
