When I was expecting my second child ,Sarah put her hand on my stomach and prayed for my little one. I had problems with this pregnancy and almost lost the baby. I often wondered if that prayer Sarah prayed was answered because my baby was born as healthy as could be. I loved Sarah. She always had a smile and a laugh with a twinkle in her eye when she spoke to me and my children. She was one special lady. Heaven is smiling today.
Mrs Washam was my first grade teacher at Huntersville school.. She was the sweetest lady ,always smiling and the best teacher ever!! So sorry for your loss, but heaven has gained an Angel for sure!.!
My beautiful aunt that taught me guppies in a fish tank were fun to watch ,that making me a homade waffle was a luxury and if if peed in her guest room bed it was never metioned as a problem You made my life better. I only hope eould be that the kindness I felt from you I can pass on to my own nieces and nephews.
Sarah was a loyal, wonderful friend to my family and me. I’ll never forget the visits to our home from Sarah, Bob, and Lee, and my family’s visits to their home. She was one of several “second moms” to me in the old Ramah community; never a finer soul!
My first memory of Sarah was when she paid a visit to our home shortly after we moved into the Ramah community. Along with Lib Barnhart, Sarah brought us out-of-the oven wonderfully smelling melt-in-your mouth angel rolls. They certainly knew how to welcome newcomers! She smiled with her eyes and knew how to carry on conversation. Indeed, she often told me it was part of her upbringing. Sarah loved the Lord and was not ashamed to talk about her love. My friends and I visited her often in Shallotte and we would sing along with her beloved hymns. We always left feeling truly blessed!

Sending thoughts and prayers for the family. Such a special and beautiful lady - both inside and out. I have so many fond memories of her when we attended Ramah church. My children used to say (about her): "Mom, Mrs Sarah sings like a movie star" (and they were right)!
