Scott C. Coverdale, 75, of Denver, North Carolina departed this life to be with the Eternal Father on July 19, 2025; surrounded by his family, he departed quietly and at peace. Scott was born on July 25, 1949, in Elyria, OH to the Read Obituary
Marsha and family, Dan and I have such fond memories meeting your family at George AFB, CA and then reconnecting again at Langley AFB, VA. What always stuck out about Scott was the fact he was an honest man, a gentleman, a true leader, a family man, a devout Christian, a true friend, and a stranger to no one. He leaves a huge void in everyone's life to those who knew him. God bless you, your family, and extended family. We are sad we can't make it happen that we could make his celebration of life, but it doesn't mean we are not thinking about all of you. We love the Coverdale Family.
Scott, Dick Knowles and I nearly froze to death on a January day at the Arlington National Cemetery when we attended another friend's internment. Hotel accomodations, to say the least, were very memorable!! I recall a special rented van trip to Georgia on a personal mission. Another opportunity to strengthen our relationship, SO appreciative of the times when he and Marsha hosted delicious meals while living here in Virginia. These memories with many others as part of our church family give me pause and warms my heart of my caring, humble friend. I am reminded of the adage "our loss is heaven's gain." Prayers and love with you Marsha on the loss of husband and our friend.

Thinking of Greg, Katie, and his sweet granddaughters at this time. I never met this man, but I know his offspring through this amazing family, and they have been a blessing to my family in numerous ways. Thankful for his example to have had such an impact on others for good.
Scott always had a smile on his face and friendly to all. A devoted family man and true kind gentleman.
