Scott Klap's Obituary
Scott Douglas Klap, 60, of Huntersville died March 11, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 13, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI to Joan Brown Klap and the late Robert Allen Klap.
After growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Scott graduated from Eastern Michigan University and embarked on a career in sales. After living in several different states, he landed in Charlotte in the early 2000’s, where he had a successful sales career with Empire Distributors. He was devoted to his family as well as to his faith. A two-time kidney transplant recipient, Scott fought many health-related battles, yet still managed to stay active and do the things he enjoyed most. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife Carolyn Weaver Klap; son, Noah and fiancé Madi; daughter, Dana; son Josh; and brothers, Gary, John, Dave and Steve.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org), StoneBridge Church Community (3700 Prosperity Church Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269), or the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 4-7 PM Thursday, March 16.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 17 at Stonebridge Church (PCA) in Charlotte with a visitation to follow.
