Sean Hanrahan's Obituary
Sean Dorgan Hanrahan, 38, of Charlotte, passed away on January 3, 2025. Sean was born in Charlotte on September 15, 1986, to William and Kathleen McGrail Hanrahan.
In addition to his parents, Sean is survived by his three brothers: Peter (Jenny) of Wilmington; Patrick (Ashley), of Roswell, GA; and Brian (Nicole) of Raleigh. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Keegan, Sutton, Owen, Lawson, Charlie, and Millie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sean was a graduate of Hopewell High School, where he played soccer and was on the swim team. He then studied for several years at Central Piedmont Community College. He was most recently employed by Saddle Creek Logistics in Harrisburg.
What we will remember most about Sean is his kind soul. He had the ability to see the best in people, and always greeted everyone with his infectious smile. Whether it was a word of encouragement, a gesture of support, or simply listening with an open heart, Sean made the world feel brighter for all who crossed his path. We will miss him more than words can express, but we are eternally grateful for the time we had together.
A service for Sean will be held on Friday, January 24, at James Funeral Home in Huntersville. Visitation is at 11:00, with the service beginning at 12:00. Inurnment will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens, 11001 Alexandriana Rd., Huntersville.
