I first met Sheri when she was working for Continental Tire in Grand-Am, and then IMSA. She was always a friendly face in the media centers but I'll forever be grateful for her taking a chance on my then-startup news website (Sportscar365) and convincing her bosses at Continental to sponsor us from the very start.
Sheri's support of my business was instrumental in its early success, and Continental remained a key partner of ours for many years until the brand exited IMSA racing. But she also helped grow sports car racing in many other ways too by having brought in fresh ideas, such as supporting Jordan Taylor's crazy music videos, as well as Sean Heckman and Ryan Eversley's 'Dinner With Racers' podcast series, which continues to be a huge success story even today.
I was still lucky enough to occasionally catch up with Sheri from time to time as she worked on other sports car racing-related projects after her time at Conti, and I will forever cherish all of those memories. Rest in Peace.
