Shirley Hefler Bond's Obituary
Shirley Bond, age 88 of Lynn, Massachusetts passed away 5/18/23 at Special Touch Living, of
Huntersville, where she had been living for the past 1 ½ years.
Shirley was widowed in June 2019 after 66 years of marriage to Raymond Edward Bond, also of Lynn, MA. She was a graduate of Lynn High School, and was an avid swimmer and cheerleader. She worked as a Real Estate Broker until her retirement. She lived in Bristol, RI prior to her move to Huntersville. Shirley was actively involved in her church and volunteered in hospitals and nursing homes. She was an avid traveler and loved to cruise.
Mrs. Bond is survived by her daughter, Catherine Noble Heart, of Mendon, MA; her son Thomas Edward Bond of Locust, NC. She is preceded in her death by her son Peter Anthony Bond of Texarkana, Texas. She leaves her Grandchildren; Daniel Sokoloff of Arlington, MA, Stephanie Peeler of Stanley, NC, Mark Bond of Denver, NC, Ashley Galleno of Huntersville, NC, and Jennifer Thompson Bond of Locust, NC; and Great Grandchildren; Nathan Sokoloff, Benjamin Sokoloff, Jazlyn Peeler, Landon Peeler, Hadley Bond and Hendricks Bond.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 20, 2023 at James Funeral Home 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC. Visiting Hours are from 10 AM to 11 AM with a Memorial Service at 11 AM and and after service collation at Killingtons Restaurant and Pub Huntersville at 12:30 PM.
Family requests no Flowers and that donations be directed to Via Health Partners, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte NC 28226, or The Salvation Army.
