Shirley Jane Rogers Mills, age 84, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Herman Rogers and Lillie Brown. She was married to Ted Richard Mills for 65 years. Ted passed away on May 5, Read Obituary
I am so shocked and sorry that you all had to go through losing these two precious people at once but if you would have asked them they would have wanted to go to heaven together. they loved each other so much and they loved their family so so much. I am sorry for the loss of Ms. Shirley. I took care of her at Lake Norman Endo while I worked there. She was one of my favorite patients always smiling.
Dear Sabrina, Kim and Family, We loved Shirley and Ted so so much! They were our
Mentors and taught us so much about life and the Lord. We first met them when we
all attended Central Church of God and we went to Israel with them through the Church.
They just took to us and They were always Mama Shirley to me and Pop Mills. We will
miss them but they will always remain in our hearts and we have so many good memories of being with them. Our heart is broken for the family, we love you and send
our deepest sympathy to all of you. It hard to loose both parents so close together.
They sure loved you all and talked about the Grandchildren and great Grandchildren
all the time and always showed us pictures! God Bless each one of you and knowing
that they are together in Heaven forever now, happy and watching over you guys
hopefully will give you some comfort and peace.

Ms. Shirley, as I liked to refer to her, was one the kindest women I’ve known. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was so proud of her family and devoted to her sweetheart, Ted. Shirley believed in the power of prayer and never hesitated to pray for anyone. Her heart made room for everyone and love defined her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and spirit. A true Proverbs 31 woman. Have great memories of Ted and Shirley from days at Garr and many years after. Ted took such good care of Shirley all these years...what a blessing that she followed him so soon. May happy memories of your wonderful parents be a great source of comfort in the days ahead.
