Sidney Gray Jones' Obituary
Sidney Gray Jones, 84, of Stanley died May 13, 2018. He was born on December 27, 1933 in Mecklenburg County to the late Houston and Lucille Jones. He worked as a manager for General Motors in the automotive finance division.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Howie Jones. Survivors include sister, Elmina Howie; nephew, Eddie Howie; nieces, Dorthy Sims and husband, Dennis, Jenny Huskins and husband, Mike, Dora Modlin and husband, Bruce, and Barbara Carter and husband, Steve; and special friend Misty Williams.
Memorials may be made to the Hills Chapel UMC Building Fund, 988 N Hwy 16 Stanley, NC 28164.
The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Thursday, May 17 at Hills Chapel UMC with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
