Stanley became my family when I had none. Encouraging, supporting and teaching. Sharing his time, and the stories of his life. I can still hear your laugh.. it still makes me smile. I miss you more than anyone knows. These are the photos from our trip to Blue Ridge Parkway. Thank you for loving and believing in me. ~❤️~
Stan was quite the entertainer! He often visited my repair shop to not only have his guitars fixed, but to talk about all manner of music and life lessons. He was a great encouragement and also helped me in my business. We will certainly miss you, Stan.
Stan was a wonderful person. My son Nicholas and I were is a music group with him at Sam Ashe. He plucked the strings of his guitar with such grace, it was always a pleasure to hear him play. Stan had a great sense of humor. The most beautiful thing about him was his dedication to teaching. Stan was disciplined and patient with his students. He passed on his knowledge of music theory to my son Nicholas. Stan had a beautiful soul and will be truly missed.
I did not know much about “music appreciation” but I did know what a “true friend” is and I appreciated that Stan befriended me many years ago. We all will miss him. (Marshall)
Mr. Stan the Guitar Man! What an enormous contribution you have made throughout your life by sharing your wisdom, intelligence, talents, string skills, wit and sense of humor with everyone who knew you!
We thank you for introducing Aron Stornaiuolo to Jazz and am so fortunate to have crossed paths with you and Donna Dye at the Friday night guitar jam circle at the Sam Ash Music store six years ago.
We will always cherish the times we spent with both you and Donna! We are ever so grateful for your endless encouragement, support and love shown towards Aron! We appreciate you both attending Aron’s performances over the years from middle and high school musicals, shows at The Evening Muse, The Blumenthal, The Jazz Room, music festivals and even having Aron as a guest on Mr. Stan’s television show!
A special memory is a road trip to purchase Aron’s Gretsch White Falcon guitar and Henriksen jazz amp! Mr. Stan & Aron behaved like kids at a candy store at Soundpure in Durham, NC
Another special memory was when Aron and Mr. Stan entertained the residents at Mr. Stan’s mother’s assisted living center. It was heart warming to see these “Gretsch Gents” bring so much joy to the residents with their music and guitars, especially for Mr. Stan’s Mom!
Mr. Stan your legacy will live on through every student you have guided and and everyone you have met and had a guitar conversation with!
You are definitely a guitar maestro, we will surely miss your guitar playing here but know that you will be a grand addition to the music in Heaven!
Rest In Peace Mr. Stan the Guitar Man!
Thank You for the Music & Cherished Memories! We Love You!
