Stephen Thomas Smith's Obituary
Stephen Thomas Smith, age 66, of Huntersville, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones. Stephen was born to the late Aaron Taylor Smith and Helen Smith Mitchell in Charlotte on August 10, 1955. Stephen retired from AT&T Services as a Digital Specialist with 30 years of service. Stephen was blessed to marry Deborah Marlowe, his wife of 47 years. They had three children.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; and cherished daughter, Elizabeth Rampey (Aaron) of Charlotte along with beloved son, Taylor Smith of Charlotte. Stephen was predeceased by his beloved son, Joshua Smith. He will be missed by his dear grandchildren, Ike, Marlowe, Amelia, and Naomi Rampey. Also, survived by his sister, Debbie Lovvorn (Jeff) of Mooresville.
Stephen never met a stranger and touched the lives of those in his paths. He leaves behind many friends and his family to cherish his memory.
There will be a Celebration of Life service in honor of Stephen on Friday, February 18,2022, at 10 am at Huntersville First Baptist Church auditorium.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Make A Wish Foundation at wish.org or Second Harvest Food Bank, 500 B Spratt Street, Charlotte, NC 28206.
