Susan Janicki Ackerman's Obituary
Susan Janicki Ackerman, 90, having enjoyed her long and happy life on earth entered into eternal life on July 17, 2025.
She was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Ruth Janicki, sister, Marjorie Ann Janicki, brother, Steve (Irene) Janicki, and husband, David Ackerman who began his heavenly journey in 1974, as well as many other friends and family.
Those surviving are daughter, Jill (Dale) Whitney, son, David Ackerman, sisters, Barbara (Jim) Guernsey and Connie (Doug) Grow.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Alyssa Stella (Daniel), David Ackerman (Alicia), Brett Ackerman, great-granddaughter, Josephine Stella, and loving nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren added a happy dimension to her life, as did her good friends Judy Moore, Ginny and Dave Eisenberg, Lori Svercek, and her favorite bridge partner and golfing buddy, Ken (Tony) Gilchrist.
To her friends and family, Susan departs this life with the request that thoughts of her be happy, not sad, and a reminder that a time of reunion is coming when she will happily meet you in the eternity promised to all who love our Lord.
The family thanks the hardworking nurses, CNAs, and everyone at Preston House in Charlotte who took wonderful care of Susan in her final years. They were a blessing to the family.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 20 at James Funeral Home in Huntersville.
