Susan Price's Obituary
Susan Elizabeth Price, 75, of Davidson, N.C. passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 10, 1948 in Lumberton, N.C. to the late Alton Adams Price and Mary Pate Price. She earned her O.T.R. degree from the University of Iowa and practiced as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. She and her husband, Lloyd Prevatte, moved their residence many times bicoastally for 30 years with his career with Georgia-Pacific.
Sue enjoyed reading, was active in her book club, shopping, being politically involved in the Democratic party, and spending time with friends and family. She had a true lifelong passion of sailing, including transatlantic passages. She enjoyed refurbishing classic wooden boats and built a 19-foot sailboat to qualify for the Wooden Boat Show in Beaufort, N.C. Sue loved fiercely and deeply and was always thoughtful and extremely generous. She maintained many friendships and relationships and she poured herself out boldly to the ones she loved most. Sue was one of a kind and her vivacious, fun loving, and caring personality shone bright. Her smile and her charismatic stories of her interesting life never ran short, including her many sailing adventures and travels while connecting with people of all walks of life.
Sue is survived by her brother, Al Price and wife, Beverly of Punta Gorda, Florida; her nephew Adam Price and wife Jennifer, and their children, Jamison, Pate, and Parker; her niece Anna Brock and husband Zach, and children Braxton and Haven.
Sue last resided at The Pines at Davidson, N.C. Retirement Community where she made many close friends and fully engaged in the social activities that are offered.
