This is heartbreaking. Tadd was one of the first persons I met when we moved to Huntersville in 2007. We were both active in Cub Scouts Pack 19 with our sons. Tadd was our unofficial, "official" photographer, dutifully attending every event, incredibly involved and always with genuine enthusiasm and that ever-present smile.
He was quiet and unassuming, but if you took the time to engage him, you found him to be an incredibly sharp, talented and kind soul. Despite his skill and success, he was also one of the most humble persons I've ever known.
He was a knowledgeable vintage car enthusiast, and we often talked about how jealous I was of his white Corvette convertible.
Tadd was actively and intimately involved in Lucas' life and incredibly proud of him. My prayers and those of my boys go out to Lucas.
After our boys aged our of Cub Scouts, I would run into Tadd around town and he was always genuinely interested in how I and my boys were doing. And he ALWAYS had that endearing smile.
Tadd left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those he knew, but he enriched all of ours in the time we had with him.
