Tamara Faye Haynes' Obituary
Tamara Faye Haynes, affectionately known as Nana or Nurse Tammy, passed away on August 22, 2023, in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 71. Tammy was born on March 13, 1952, in Lenoir, North Carolina, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Donald (Leola) Miller.
Tammy had a remarkable career as a Registered Nurse, dedicating herself to the field for over 40 years. Throughout her career, she worked in various areas of nursing, but it was in home health where she found her true calling. Tammy's compassion and expertise positively impacted the lives of countless individuals over her career.
Outside of her profession, Tammy had a zest for life and pursued several hobbies. An avid bird enthusiast, she also found solace in the pages of books, expressing her creativity through drawing and painting, and enjoyed the magic of movies.
Tammy's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family members, including her daughter, Leslie Harmon, and son-in-law, Greg Harmon. She was also a loving grandmother to her grandson, Phillip, and granddaughter, Victoria, soon to be married to Blake Blumenfeld. Tammy is also survived by her brother, Mike Miller, of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who will hold her memory dear.
A memorial service to honor the life of Tammy Haynes will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm at James Funeral Home, located at 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, located at 500 Spratt St B, Charlotte, NC 28206. These donations will help support their mission of alleviating hunger in the community.
Tammy Haynes will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and love will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those whose lives she touched.
