Tecia S. McAbee's Obituary
Tecia McAbee died peacefully February 15, 2023 surrounded by family. Her sister was her best friend. They held hands while laughing at their last joke together.
Born Tecia Marie Sharpe August 8,1956, she is preceded in death by her mother Sylvia Chandler Lowe.
Survivors include father Ted Lowe, sisters Lynn Nicks and Lisa Wright (husband Curt), daughter JoAnn Crocker (husband James), grandson Durum Crocker, and a giant extended family Tecia treated as her babies too: 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews & all their children.
Tecia spent her life working selflessly to make sure all her babies wanted nothing. Her love for her family was more than seemed humanly possible. A super-woman -- who loved a good hug, a good laugh, a good book and a good meal shared with her family, she was adored by everyone who met her. Not only did she have a contagious laugh, she was also a rock for all of us.
The graveside service will be held at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Sunday February 19, 1:30 p.m.
Afterwards, please join us at Ted Lowe's house - her Daddy - to further celebrate her life.
We thank the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
James Funeral Home is assisting the family, online condolences may be made at www.jamesfuneralhomelkn.com.
