Ted Alley, 85, of Cleveland, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Ted was a native of Huntersville, NC. He was a retired JV Baseball Coach for North Mecklenburg High School, having previously coached community Little Leag Read Obituary
Had a lot of good times with Ted when we were involved with Legion ball. He told some of the greatest stories of times both on and off the field. Will miss him. Condolences to his family. Joe Runyan
Ted always had a great song to sing! He also had plenty of stories to tell too. I remember one Friday night at the Lake Norman Music Hall he introduced the band.. "On fiddle, Guy Hart, on bass, Harold Christy, on drums, Don Christy, on guitar, Ron Christy, and on guitar Fred..uh..(my Dad whispered "Christy") Oh yea! Ted was not only a great singer but a great front man. He showed me at a very young age what it took to be a professional entertainer and a decent human being. I am so very thankful and blessed to have known and worked with him for so long and a part of him will live on as his influence helped shape my life as it is today. Thank you Ted, my friend, you're the best!

Ted loved his ballplayers and they loved him right back. Susan and I appreciate his kindness toward our two sons when they played for him. I always looked forward to seeing and talking with Ted. It always made my day better.
