Thomas Grabinski's Obituary
Thomas Joseph Grabinski, 78, of Denver, NC died February 22, 2011 at CMC Lincolnton. He was born on August 26, 1932 in Seattle, WA to the late Loretta and Anthony Grabinski. He worked at Chrysler in Detroit, MI, Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY and Alcatel in Clarimont, NC. He has been retired for 14 years. He had many interests and hobbies including woodworking, boating, reading, watching old movies, researching family ancestors and giving albums to his families. He also loved to travel abroad. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church Parish Council. Tom was in the Elks Club and on the Senior Advisory Board for Lincoln County.
He is survived by his wife Joanna; daughter, Loretta and husband Michael Bolotta of Metamora, MI; son, Christopher Grabinski of Ashland, OR; son, Thomas Grabinski and wife Gerry of Rochester, NY; daughter, Victoria and husband Robert Badzinski of Milwaukee, WI; daughter, Mary Manning of Avon Park, FL; daughter, Catherine Grabinski of Horseheads, NY; daughter, Beth and husband Michael DeWitt of Midlothian, VA; daughter, Lisa and husband James Dillow of Denver, NC; also many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Joan Stover.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Carmen Malacari officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, February 25 from 5-8 PM.
Memorials may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church; the Alzheimer’s Foundation; or the American Heart Association.
