Thomas Rechtiene's Obituary
Thomas James Rechtiene, 78, of Mt. Holly, NC died December 5, 2025. He was born in St. Paul, MN on September 6, 1947 to the late Joseph and Agnes Rechtiene.
Tom grew up as one of six siblings in St. Paul, MN and was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War. He had a successful career in sales and managed many different teams and people. He started his professional career at Control Data in St. Paul, MN, and then took a sales manager job in Waltham, Massachusetts. After in living Massachusetts for three years, Tom then came back to Minnesota to work as manager for Data Card in Minneapolis, MN. The family moved to Marietta, GA for Tom to work in a sales position for PFE International. He then worked at Hasler International through the end of his career until his retirement in 2013. He stayed in touch with many co-workers and was beloved for his personality, humor, and work ethic.
His hobbies included going to the gym, racket ball, traveling, boating, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. He spent his retirement traveling to exotic places with his beloved wife of 41 years. He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.
Survivors include his wife Denice Rechtiene; daughters, Amy Robertson (Doug), Amber King (Seth) and Heidi Marose (Dean); siblings, Jay, Netta, Patty Jo, Mary Kay and Ann; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu in of flowers, we are requesting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Services will be private.
