Thomas "Tommie" Houston Wilmoth's Obituary
Davidson- Thomas “Tommie” Houston Wilmoth drew her last breath on Tuesday March 2, 2021 in Huntersville, NC. Tommie was born on October 26, 1926 in Surry County, NC to Thomas Snow and Neva (Holder) Snow. She was born two months after her father’s death and was named in his memory.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara Broadway and her husband Joe, daughter Deborah Motto and her husband Joe and son Phillip Isaacs and his wife Julie. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Wendell Wilmoth, daughter Dianne, son Keith, granddaughter Tammy and her 10 older siblings.
Tommie graduated from Dobson High School and attended many reunions over the years. Her friendly and outgoing personality served her well as front receptionist of Duke Power for more than twenty years. She loved to chit chat with those she came across and brought smiles to all their faces. Her joys included playing cards, crochet, sudoku, coloring and of course, soap operas. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Tommie even embraced social media through Facebook to stay connected! She was known for her humor, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 5th, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Cornelius at 11 o’clock a.m. followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed at: https://www.facebook.com/JamesFuneralHome/
