Tom Kerley's Obituary
Charles Thomas “Tom” Kerley, 62, of Cornelius, NC died November 2, 2011 at Levine Dickson Hospice House after a ten year, courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born on June 21, 1949 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Jack Wilson Kerley and Doris Thornburg Kerley. Tom was in the 82nd Airborne, US Army. Tom is a proud Davidson native. He was store manager with Harris Teeter at many locations in the area. His last position was at the Peninsula location.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Darla Eggleston Kerley; sons, Jeffrey Todd Eaton and wife Jane of High Point and Jason “Jay” Stewart Eaton and wife Sandy of High Point; grandchildren, Carson, Connor, Kyle, and Rachel Grace Eaton; sister, Debbie K. Webb of Denver, NC; aunt, Mary Thornburg Rogers of Davidson; sister-in-law Sandy and her husband Steve Schmaltz of Rochester, NY; dear friends Vince and Ann Watkins of Cornelius and Ron and Cathie McLean of Holden Beach; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Davidson United Methodist Church with Rev. Jody Seymour officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
