Tony Waugh's Obituary
Tony Waugh, 60, of Davidson was “searchin for a rainbow”, found it and took it with him on his journey to heaven to be with his dad, Bill Waugh. Now at complete peace after a very short, one month, battle that he fought against cancer, he went to with the Lord on November 14, 2013. He did it his way with pride and heartfelt love that he got to express to his family and friends. Tony served in the Air Force during Vietnam and then in the Air National Guard in Charlotte. Tony had his work career at Cash Register Systems for 20 years. After retiring he worked at Cornelius Ace Hardware and Car Quest in Huntersville. Tony loved outdoors, hunting and more than anything, Duke Basketball and Braves Baseball! He was always the second biggest fan, next to his father.
He is survived by two women that he loved more than life itself, his mother Jean Waugh of Mooresville and his wife of 30 years Susan Teresa Boyd Waugh. Tony is also survived by a sister Lori Cruse and husband John and her children, Brandon, Brent, Baní and Brook, great-nieces and nephews, Chase, Brannon, Aiden, Bryce Logan and Karman. He also leaves behind his puppy, Taylor, a 7 year old, blind Maltese he cared for.
