Tracey Ellen Arbo's Obituary
Tracey Ellen Arbo, 62, of Huntersville, NC, passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer on April 4, 2023. She was born in Manchester, NH on August 13, 1960. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter Joseph Bieniek Sr. and Helen Bieniek, and her brother, Walter Joseph Bieniek Jr.
Tracey grew up in Milford, NH. She graduated from Nasson College in Springdale, ME with a dual major degree in Biology and Psychology. She went on to work in research at the University of Connecticut Health Center in the Division of Neurosurgery. Her work there included co-authoring a research paper published in the Brain Research Bulletin and supported by a NIH Grant. Tracey switched career paths and began teaching at Corpus Christi School in Wethersfield, CT before moving south to Charlotte, NC in 2013. She continued her education at Wingate University, receiving her Masters Degree in Teaching and her Teaching Certificate. She went on to teach 4th Grade at Providence Spring Elementary School until retiring in 2022.
As much as Tracey loved her careers in teaching and in science, leaving a lasting impression on her students and colleagues, she loved to be outside spending time with her family, walking her dogs, planting in her gardens, sitting on the beach at her lake house reading a good book, kayaking and more.
Tracey is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Chuck Arbo; her daughter, Ashley Arbo and husband, John Whisnant of Huntersville, NC; her grandson, Charlie Arbo, who was her pride and joy; and her mother-in-law, Ellen Arbo, of Tega Cay, SC.
Services will be privately held.
