Troy Fraley Wilson's Obituary
Mrs. Wilson, of Huntersville, a most eloquent, gracious and gentle lady, departed her earthly home on February 4, 2020.
The eldest child of the late W. Horace and Ruth B. Fraley, Troy was predeceased by her brothers, Dick, Max and Spencer Fraley. She was the widow of Robert E. (Bob) Wilson, her beloved husband of 30 years. Together, they reared their daughter, Terri. Terri and her husband Tim, along with grandchildren Ashley, Missy, Greg and Brandy, as well as great-grandchildren Madeline, Austyn, Addison and Braxton, survive her.
Mrs. Wilson, born and raised in Woodleaf, NC, graduated as valedictorian of Pfeiffer College, class of 1946. Her ensuing career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Charlotte spanned 43 years, where she retired as Director of Personnel and Benefits.
Following their move to the Oakdale Community in 1958, she and her husband joined Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. It was here that she served the Lord with dedication. Troy also found joy in volunteering for many years as an office assistant at Oakdale Elementary School; and when she wasn't quietly doing for others, she gained great satisfaction from working in her yard.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Troy will be held at 11am on Friday, February 7, at South River United Methodist Church in Woodleaf, NC.
The family will remain forever grateful for the loving care provided to this special lady by the staff of Cadence Living and the staff of Hospice of Lake Norman.
