Vernon Carson Watts' Obituary
Vernon Carson Watts, 83, of Charlotte, died March 26, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 7, 1937 in Anson County to the late Henry and Bertha Watts. Carson retired as Assistant Fire Chief from the Charlotte Fire Department. He was a member of Pleasant Grove U.M.C.
Survivors include his wife Judy Watts; sons, Jeffrey Watts (Tonya) of Charlotte, Steven Watts (Amy) of Huntersville, and Greg Watts (Malisa) of Gastonia; sister, Betty Guess; grandchildren, Dillon (Miranda), Reagan, Logan (Jordan), Noah, Luke, Emma, Gabriel and Faith; and great-grandchild, Saelem. He is preceded in death by his siblings, John, David, Bill and Bobby.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove U.M.C.
The funeral service will be 2:00 Friday, April 2 at Pleasant Grove U.M.C. with burial following at the church cemetery. Visitation will follow burial in the church Family Life Center.
