Vincent Aufiero's Obituary
Vincent (Vinny) Alfonso Aufiero, 57, of Huntersville NC, passed away on the morning of June 26th in Huntersville NC.
Vincent was born in Staten Island, NY to the late Andre and Charinia Aufiero on March 16, 1962. Vincent was a devout Catholic and attended mass every Sunday. Vincent married Susan Jepsen on December 7th, 1986. Vincent went Teterboro aviation school where he obtained his aircraft mechanic certification. Vincent became a dedicated worker for Piedmont Airlines, which changed to US Airways, and then to American Airlines. Vincent had an admirable work ethic and was always on time for work during his 34 years of employment. Vincent was a loving husband and father that always put his family first. Vincent and Susan have three children who love their father dearly. As a father Vincent did everything and anything for his children. Whether it was fixing a car, helping them move, or supporting them in all their endeavors. As a son, Vincent was nothing but caring and loving to his mother, he was always there for her at the drop of a hat for anything. As a friend, he always provided kindness, support, a listening ear, and a helping hand. He was a reliable and honorable man who was willing to help anyone. Vincent had numerous hobbies, he loved to play the drums since he was a teenager and continued to play in several bands throughout his life. Vincent was an avid sports player. Vincent also had a passion for aviation and mechanics which he turned into to a life-long career. Vincent was an amazing cook and always made pasta and gravy every Sunday. On his days off Vincent loved to relax in his pool, ride his motorcycle, or watch the Packers, Yankees, or Ranges play. Vincent loved his mother’s cooking and enjoyed anything she made; his favorite were her delicious rice balls. Vincent had a light that shined on everyone he came in to contact with. He was the son his mother couldn’t be prouder of. The friend you could always depend on, the husband you loved with all your heart, and parent that you hope to be.
Vincent is survived by his beautiful and vivacious wife, Susan Aufiero. His three loving children Vincent Jr. (and his wife Audrey Aufiero), Christopher Aufiero, and Bianca Aufiero. His soon to be granddaughter Penelope Aufiero. Vincent is also survived in all his friends that loved him like a brother.
The celebration of Vincent’s life will be held 11:00 am., Tuesday July 2nd, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, in Huntersville, NC. Burial will follow at Northlake Gardens. Arrangements are by James Funeral Home and online condolences can be made to jamesfuneralhomelkn.com.
