Virginia Barreto Andino's Obituary
On November 5th, 2021, Virginia Barreto Andino, loving mother and grandmother, sister and friend, was quietly called home at age 75. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Aracelis Alonso and granddaughter, Katlyn J. Carrion, who made up the entirety of her world. Virginia will also be forever remembered by her five sisters and four brothers, numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends she held close to her heart.
The simplest pleasures in life, such as cooking a great meal for her loved ones, sewing a fabulous garment, poetry, crossword puzzles, gardening and spending time with her family and friends brought the greatest joy to Virginia . Virginia was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
That special smile, that caring heart, and warm embrace, she always gave will forever live on in the hearts of those blessed to have known her.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. at James Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Park. For those unable to attend the funeral service in person, it will be live-streamed at: https://www.facebook.com/JamesFuneralHome/
