Vivian Weatherman's Obituary
Vivian D. Weatherman, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, following a brief illness.
Born in Stoneville, North Carolina, Vivian was the daughter of the late Warner and Bertha Dodson. She lived a life marked by faith, compassion, and devotion to her family and community.
Vivian was a founding member of New Beginnings Moravian Church in Huntersville, where she cherished her church family and faithfully participated in worship, fellowship, and church events throughout the years. She was a beautiful person both inside and out, known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.
A retired nurse, Vivian dedicated her career to caring for others. She was also an avid gardener who found great joy in flowers and the beauty of nature. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Thomas E. Weatherman, and her son, Thomas E. Weatherman, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Lynn (Mike) Lemon of Lutz, Florida, Lisa (Michael Prentice) Weatherman of St. Petersburg, Florida, Tina (Darel) Arrowood of Monroe, North Carolina, and Mary (Brad) Harris of Columbia, Maryland.
She is also survived by her eight beloved grandchildren, Kenny, Reid, Ashleigh, Jay, Alexa, Madison, Grace, and Hawk; and twelve treasured great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Vivian's life will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026,11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Moravian Church, 203 Seagle Street, Huntersville, NC 28078. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, 10:00 a.m. at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem.
