Von was my nurse for 8 years when we worked at at Huntersville Oaks.
She was a wonderful lady, excellent nurse and ,friend She always talk of her children and grandchildren.We shared many good times.
She was such a joy to work for.

My mind has just been blown and my heart is broken. It is Tuesday morning, May 26 and I was checking my special birthday list on my computer. I wanted to say Happy Birthday and hoping there was some way we could get together. It had been a few years since we had been in contact except through computer Facebook bi rthdays . Von and I were best friends in our teenage years. We walked back and forth the mile to each house after dark never being afraid. I was standing b
side her when she and Earl aid their wedding vows.

Very sorry to hear of Von's passing. She was a great lady and we will miss her at HPC. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this time. We pray the Lord will comfort each of you with found memories in your hearts. And may it also comfort you that she now has join her Lord and Savior and other loved ones who have gone on before.
