Walter T. Miller's Obituary
Walter Timothy Miller, 58, of Huntersville, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 30, 2016, at his home. He was born on March 11, 1957, in Mecklenburg County to Walter J. Miller and Mable M. Miller. Tim was the president of Miller Construction and Design, Inc., Huntersville. Tim had a passion for design and building which he learned as a young boy from his dad, Walter. Tim graduated from CPCC with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then attended UNC-Charlotte, where he gained his knowledge of business. Tim married his neighborhood sweetheart, Robin Williams, on October 10, 1981. They did not have children which enabled them to travel often, enjoy riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and going to Panthers and ASU games. Tim loved to scuba dive and on many of their trips he would photograph many unique fish and corals under the sea. Tim had many hobbies including NASCAR, scuba diving, Harley riding, collecting racing and Carolina Panthers memorabilia and underwater photography. With his loving and talented hands, he was constantly doing the "project" of remodeling their home. He would add a brick patio and then enclose the porch with a fireplace and then add an outdoor kitchen on and on. In addition to his parents, survivors include his devoted wife of 34 years Robin Williams Miller; brother, Thomas Mark Miller, Sr. and wife Paige; sister, Ashley Miller Capreol and husband Bob; nephews, Marcus Miller and Hunter Capreol; in-laws Morris and Gerrie Williams, sister-in-law TC and husband Max Thomas, sister-in-law, Kim and husband Larry Blakenship; nephews, J. Max Thomas, Cam and wife Randi Thomas, great-nieces, Audrey and Maeve Thomas and an adored cat Madison "Sissy"; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local humane society. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, February 2, at Davidson United Methodist Church with visitation to follow. Per his request, his ashes will be scattered in Key West, FL.
