Warren Vong's Obituary
Mr. Warren Arnold Vong, 95, of Garden City, SC passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. Warren was a native of St. Paul, MN and moved to Charlotte in 1968 and then to Garden City, SC in 1987. Warren enjoyed gardening, golf, traveling and the beach, but most of all, spending time with his family. Mr. Vong served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and retired as the manager of Diamond Hill Plywood in Charlotte, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Anna Vong, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, wife Jean Vong and stepdaughter Karen Toman.
Mr. Vong is survived by his wife of 37 years, Arlene L. Vong; son, Richard J. Vong (Ann), daughter, Sandra V. Crisp (Jimmy), daughter, Laurie A. Vong, stepdaughter, Cheryl Bustle (Johnny); grandchildren Ivar, Axel, Leif, Jennifer, Ryan, Katie, Brandon, Megan and 7 great grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm , Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Levine-Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations to DonateHospice.org designated to Levine-Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC.
Mr. Vong was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed and forever be in our hearts.
