Mr. Wayne Reginald Brooks
Wayne Brooks, 88, of Huntersville, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1927, in Shelby, NC to the late Euliss and Mozelle Noblitt Brooks.
Wayne graduated from Shelby High School where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He later served in the Army, then worked for General Motors, and retired from Siemens. He attended Central Church in Charlotte where he loved listening to the choir. He also loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or spending time in his beloved garden.Watching the grandkids play in their various sports was his favorite, never missing a game or practice.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lou Alice. He is survived by his son, Jason (Jamie) and grandchildren, Jacob (Caroline) and Jordon Brooks.

Burial will be private at Northlake Memorial Gardens. A visitation will take place at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, date TBD.
