Welbern Clegg Brown's Obituary
Welbern “Brownie” Clegg Brown, Jr. 80 of Mooresville died April 18, 2017. He was born in Mecklenburg County on May 15, 1936 to W.C. Brown, Sr. and the late Doris Gibson Brown. A veteran of the US Navy, he was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie P. Brown; step-daughter, Lena Anderson (Scott), grandchildren, Tommy (Sarah), Ty, Cassidy, Sam, Josiah, Will (Wanda); great-grandchildren, Taylor, Nolan and Anna; siblings, Carolyn Moore (Mike), Betty Ann Smith (Bill), Elaine Houser (James) and John Baxter Brown; special cousin Connie McCoy (Ed). He was preceded in death by his daughter Renae Brown Johnson; siblings, Marlene Jones and Janette Anderson; and Uncle Benny and Aunt Lois Brown.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 21 at Mt. Zion UMC with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Our beloved “Brownie” is on the road again to our Heavenly Father.
